We accompany Camilo of the Inter-Church Justice and Peace Commission and Eustaquio, a land rights leader from El Guamo (in the Curbaradó river basin, Chocó) on an environmental fact finding mission with the aim of evaluating the impact of the destruction of the native flora and fauna of this tropical forest typical to the region.
It´s two o´clock in the afternoon. The girls are picking fruit, your mother-in-law asleep, the buffalos have been fed. You slump into the hammock in the colombian paradise where you´ve lived your whole life, for a well deserved rest. Two aggressive sounds break the tranquility.
The celebration that we organised, as the PBI field team in Barrancabermeja, we felt it to be a necessity, because this was one of the places where we first had a presence, over twenty years ago, and where we still work today.
